Greetings,

I am interested in pallet forks for the FEL on a 3320. I have searched the forums and I haven't been able to find many posts about either making them or some of the brands available for purchase.

Have any of you fabricated your own, if so mind posting pics? I checked at my local green dealer and they sell a set that will mount right onto my 3320. My cost, 1300.00! Ouch!
I would like to buy/fabricate something that isn't soo tough on my wallet. It isn't an attachment that I would use frequently.

I don't think you looked hard enough. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I offer a free set of plans to build your own. Over 100 TBN'ers have requested them and some have even built ones based on these plans. I have built 6 sets myself. You can read about them HERE.

PM me with a real email address and I will gladly send you a copy of the plans.

When you search, be sure to change the "Date Range" to "ALL POSTS", as it defaults to only one week.

There have been numerous post about forks...Here is a LINK showing pictures of the set I made.

Try that search again using "forks", "FEL forks", and "Pallet Forks"

I made my own for cost of materials (30$ or 40$) and my time

I bolted two 6 foot lengths of channel iron under my bucket so that 4' stuck out forward and 2' rested under the bucket (one 1/2" bolt at the cutting edge through each channel). I found there was too much side to side play initially (I wonder if this is a problem with some of the designs suggested so far?), so I bolted a piece of angle iron between the channels where they stuck out behind the bucket. For insurance, I looped some 3/8" chain over the top of the bucket from the back end of the channels. (Hope this makes sense)

Sounds too easy/light, but I've been able to lift enough to run out of power before overwhelming the forks.

I did not have a frame for my forks. They are from regular lift truck. We just added to the top and I curl my bucket to catch the round pipe then "un-curl" and my forks are ready for use.
I am able to vary spacing with this setup.

I built mine from C channel I obtained at the local scrap yard and misc. threaded rod from TSC. Total cost about $40. They will habdle more weight than my bucket can lift so I'm satisfied with that. I would have used regular forks from a forklift and used a pipe along the top then welded hooks on top of the bucket to hook into but couldn't find any in my area.

That's a VERY nice design, gotrocks. I haven't seen this done before.
Good job! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Although you might spend some more $ this way, the forks that JD sold me fit my FEL quick attach mechanism nicely. I can change out my bucket and forks in about a minute. I find I do that a lot.

Thanks for all the info! I knew some of you would have some solid inexpensive solutions.

Thanks again
