Tractor
D17 Allis, 930 Case, 706 IH all with loaders
Yes, all 4 of them are oldies ,however, they all run fairly well and so far I have been able to keep them running summer and winter without having to hire professionals except occasionally for some advice. The D17 Allis is a gas tractor and is somewhat easier to start at -40 degrees C than the diesel units. What I would really like to do is running a front mounted snowblower driven and directed by hydraulics only (min. blower size 54").
I have NH swing arm haybine and that unit is both driven and directed with hydraulics and that is one slick operating principle as opposed to drive shaft operation. What I don't know is the amount of hp required for a blower of at least 54" or 60".
Anybody out there have some know-how?
Thanks, A.W.K.
Getting a rubber neck from somewhere would probably work well with a rear mounted snowblower.

I'm going to more your thread over to the attachments section to see if we can get you an answer on how much hp is needed for a snowblower of that size.

Hi WaxGuy,

You may also want to think about reposting with a more direct post title related to your question.

E.G.: ??HP needed for Front-mounted Hydraulic Snow Blower >54" [or something similar].

For what it's worth.

Thomas

PS: OOPs- I almost forgot Welcome to TBN!!
