Oh man....I didn't know that. Firefox is to IE what Belarus is to John Deere.

(By the way, I have NO IDEA what Firefox is - besides the Clint Eastwood classic movie).
lol. firefox is an alternative web browser that is slowly gaining ground on IE. and i'm don't know that i'd classify firefox (the movie) as a classic. entertaining yes, but classic, not so sure.:D

From my standpoint, this has all been very entertaining. Something to break the bordom while my wife is away visiting her mother. All I have to do is post....ANYTHING..... and there's 3 die-hard fanatical zealots, all 3 Mahindra owners, who just go to pieces..

Hey Farmwithjunk, I used to enjoy your post and found them very informative as you have a lot of experience with tractors. But lately threads like these lead me to believe you just like to provoke people into a childish posting contest.

I respect you and your hard facts regarding tractors and implements. I look forward to you returning to better post than this one.

Peace, KB

Glad you enjoy some of what I have to say. Sorry for you that you don't like the rest of what I have to say. Trying not to sound like a wise ***** but don't read what you don't like. I speak to people in a language they can understand. When someone talks to me in a less than mature manner, I'll give 'em a dose of their own medicine.

you could make an argument for either side really. i don't try to get in the middle of something thats not my concern usually but I do own a JD....never owned anything else. heck i prefer a JD tractor(implements are another story). i'm currently shopping around at other brand right now as i look to find a new tractor but i will say i am more comfortable with a JD because i know them, know how to work on them, am familiar with the dealerships around my area, know i can get a part tomorrow....or even this afternoon if i need it. i do beleive in going into everthing with an open mind, and i have been so far, but i see very few things offered by other brands that would be enough to divert me away from green just yet(price included).

Kubota JD, NH and MF, mainline tractors. All other are off brand, future Yugo's setting in the fence row rusting up.

that is what they said about kubota for years. nh's tractors are getting flimsier and flimsier.

from my experience NH makes a darn good tractor as far as the Ag utility and row crop series' go. can't speak about the CUT line though. i see you own a Mahindra 5525. isnt that their newest series? how do you like it so far?

i looked at the tt series and the sheet metal was pretty thin. i could hit a fender with my fist and it would wobble endlessly. wasn't a fan of the plastic trim either. i had a 1720 before and it apparently was a lemon. my neighbor has one and he has had zero problems in 8 years.

just got the 5525 so i can't make a call on it yet. all i know is after 2 hours everything is still working :D

i could say the same thing about the Farmtrac i looked at awhile back. to me it was cheaply made and although it appeared to look like one of the old Ford's, i just didnt see the fit and finish of one. cheaper is not always better. if i have to pay $3,000 more for a JD that doesnt have thin fenders then so be it. let us know your opinion of that tractor after you get a few more hours undr your belt.
