Tried this out yesterday, great tool.. first couple cuts here to make legs for a tripod to hold it. I set it on 50*, the max, and cut the other end 40* flat on the bandsaw for the feet. I think it's going to come in handy as a pipe vise too, for holding stuff in general. :thumbsup: 2" sched 40 (?) 2 1/2" hole saw.

That is really nice cut!
I wish I could come up with more projects with pipe / tube. Been waiting for an excuse to buy a tube bender that will bend 180 degrees. Then of course I'd have to have a notcher as well. For now I just use the mil.

That things nice! I can see that being really nice for working with pipe. Sure beats trying to fish mouth tube with an angle grinder...

$8 for a 46" scrap of 1 1/2" sched 80, or $75 for a length, I went with the scrap. The old steam pipe I got for free..

So you needed the tube notcher to build the stand for the tube notcher!:laughing:

How come you didn't Tig weld those joints? I see a Tig torch in the background of one of your pictures.

I'm gonna sell that thing, got no business owning one. :laughing:
Guess I'll make a base for my vise tomorrow. That'll be handy too, drop it in the same tripod. I'll try to be pro, tho, and weld the bolts on the other side.

You'll need to get a Tig Rig one of these days, now that you have a DC welder.
