In the colder weather of mid winter the sand likes to freeze tot he inside of my sander. Right now the inside has nothing more than primer on it. Has anyone used non stick industrial coatings? I took a quick look on the internet but couldn't find any place where I could buy a gallon.

I believe Tractor Supply Company TSC sells a graphite paint in spary, quart and gallon sizes.

Slip Plate (in my post above) is a graphite paint type product. It seemed to have zero advantage for snow, and I will not use it again.

Once you get the sander cleaned out, how about a coat of glossy emamel followed by a good coat of paste wax?

Other than plastic facing I don't believe any sprayed on product can do the job.
Well perhaps 3 part epoxies over a sand blasted surface might last but that will prove pricy.
Perhaps 1/4" HDPE attached with stainless flat headed bolts would do the trick. Again quite pricy.

Most economical is to simply keep a good coat of high gloss metal paint such as Tremclad and touch up from time to time.

Inside the spreader is a agitator that's got one universal in it. As the sander empties out the agitator hits the side of the sander. I had assumed that the banging would be more than enough to knock the sand loose. The problem is that the times when I need the sander are when we had some warm weather that melts the snow followed by a cold snap that turns it into ice. Usually those cold snaps are single digits or even below zero. Anything plastic would get cut apart by the agitator so they are out. I think that gloss paint and lots of wax may be the best option. Sadly it'll have to wait until summer.

How about using some spray PAM in the bucket before you use it.. My eggs don't stick using it..

I've used Slip-Plate on my mower decks to prevent sticking and it works pretty well. The "trick" is to read the directions. After applying a thick coat or two, and after it thoroughly dries, you need to burnish the coating which leaves it smooth and very slick. One coating will last the entire season and prevents the acids from the grass eating into the deck. To burnish I use a fine to medium wire cup brush on a right angle grinder going over the surface like polishing a car.

Now for my 2750D blower, it get repainted (edit: with Chevy Orange engine paint) inside each season, especially inside the fan and on any exposed metal. Before a wet slow, I spray silicone liberally over everything, sometimes use PAM, the worst performer for me is WD-40. Also spray the shovels with silcone to prevent sticking.

UHMW plastic, particularly the black stuff with graphite in it is REAL slippery, and tough!

What I'd do is first fix/support the universal so that it runs true and doesn't slam into the sides. Then I'd wire wheel or even better blast the interior and coat with a couple coats of POR 15. Once that was done, I'd line with the UHMW. A bit of work yes, but it would last a LONG time.

Its less costly to use slick sheet leftovers from Horn Plastics
and the flat head bolts from Gemplers used to anchor thier
plastic panel systems.

If you're addressing me, yup, I still have a bucket truck. Can you give me a little better info about where to look at the post you're talking about?

Paint it with an epoxy paint. Epoxy is durable and it is slippery compared to other paints.
