I've been using a wheel barrow and shovel to maintain my 3 acre horse setup, including digging up dozens of boulders from the field and rolling them to line my arena and stream. If you need any tips on how to get a 300 pound rock out of a two foot deep hole using only a pry bar and softball sized rocks, give me a buzz.

I'm trying to step into the 20th century (too cheap to afford 21st century) now by picking up an older, but not antic small tractor and I'm basically starting from point zero.

Welcome to TBN!!! It sounds like something in the 25hp-30hp range would be right for you. :thumbsup:

Thanks. I put it off for another two or so years after we helped my son and daughter buy their cars so they are each driving about half my tractor.

This site will be very useful as I struggle to research the trade offs between hours on a tractor, size, and attachments. But it all starts with the bucket.
