Doing the math for the 16cc pump it comes out to be a 11 gpm pump. So I can see why it would be pretty fast.

Doing the math for the 16cc pump it comes out to be a 11 gpm pump. So I can see why it would be pretty fast.

They have it listed as 10.6gpm but don't specify how they determined that rating. The drive ratio is 40:39(40 teeth on the crank and 39 on the pump drive gear) which I believe with the engine at the rated 2,600 rpm would put the pump speed at ~2,666. A 98% volumeteric efficiency would put it pretty much right at 11gpm as you specified. Perhaps they are being conservative in the rating? I don't have a flow meter or I would verify the output on mine.

I'm very happy with the speed but I have thousands of hours of experience(almost 1,000 hours on this specific tractor). I also have 800lb of ballast in the rear tires and typically have a heavy duty blade on my 3pt. I would just suggest less experienced operators use some extra caution when they first install an upgrade like this.

I spoke with the manufacture of the FEL control valve for the LS XR, Walvoil USA, out of Utah I believe. Took a bunch of digging to find the actual manufacture of that valve. They make two control valves for that will be a direct replacement for the LS XR41xx, one that comes with the tractor and one that has the serial regeneration and float. I heard back from a rep who gave me the run around for a while before passing me off to another rep who has yet to return my phone calls or emails. All I want is one of those valves!

Are you talking pump or loader scv? Sounds like you are talking about the scv.

SCV. Sorry. I did say pump.

I was looking to replace the valve, hoping that would fix my issue as well. A better pump would probably do the trick too, but that is a ton more $$.

If you find a replacement valve with Regen please share. Maybe a few of us that would be interested.

My search led me to Walviol who apparently makes the valves for LS. I contacted them trying to figure out which one I needed, but got the run around something fierce.

I decided to live with it. Frustrated with it, but then I saw this thread:
https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums...hydraulic-pump-upgrade-deplorable-diesel.html

Apparently, this better pump with mostly eliminate the floppy bucket issue. I havent replaced mine yet, as my tractor is still under warranty and I am positive this will void it. But when that warranty expires... :licking:

I am not sure about the TYM line of tractors.

I am not sure what all they did, but getting a new MT342 s-hst cab tractor seems to have fixed my XR4140 floppy bucket issue. Maybe you should just trade in the XR for the new MT version.

I know it has a new loader version and it has a new s-hst pump (if you have s-hst) with some higher flow ratings, but I don't know if that is what fixed it.

I just know my XR4140 had floppy bucket pretty bad. No matter what I did at any RPM it was bad and now its almost not even noticeable on the new one.

I show the bucket movement in this video toward the end: NEW LS Tractor MT342 Overview - YouTube

I tested it by moving some heavy gravel later and the issue still did not show itself. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they figured out a way to minimize it to almost nothing.
