Just remember that despite everyone saying "dump it", any machine can be fixed. At the moment, you aren't paying for the fixing. I don't know who makes your Mahindra model (my 2540 is a TYM with a Mahindra engine), but the only issues I've had with mine in over 100 hours are that the plastic rear fender extensions ("mud flaps") have cracked, and there was a tiny fuel leak at an injector. As they are the heck in the way when the quick hitch is raised, I've removed them and will put some LED tail lights on the ROPS. Fixing the fuel leak took a wrench and 1/8 of a turn. It's tight in there! Otherwise, no issues.
If you get all of the gremlins chased awayé*nd with Mahindra, you have several years to do soé¥ou should have a reliable tractor.
Also, I concur on the fuel feed issue; I'd probably pull the fuel line from the tank, make sure that the cap was tight, and see how it drained back into my fuel can. If it goes quickly then slows down, loosen the cap. If it then speeds up, the cap vent isn't sufficient. If it still goes slowly, drain the tank and find out what's wrong.
As it costs $130 to have my tractor taken to the dealership, I tend to fix little things myself, in any case.
