Albins are great boats, I almost bought a very similar one, failed sea trial due totally to owner neglect, had to be towed in. That one I think had Yanmars, but 420 Cats are primo engines. (for three years I sold yachts in S. Florida so studied this)
And whoever redid your teak, nice job, most are getting nasty by the time I could afford them.

I have the same engine in the truck. Not all of these blocks were great in the early 90s (more 3116 than 3126) but this is a survivor/rebuilt to the tune of 21k.

Your Albin is a classic design, and obviously in perfect condition.
I looked at the Albin some years ago, but decided I wanted bigger, for bigger water.
Bought an 9 year old stabilized twin screw DeFever 44', and kept it for 11 more years.
A near perfect 50,000lb. couple cruising boat (too slow, but very fuel efficient).
Much slower than your Albin, but more refrigerators, airconditioners, and generators.
Kept it in Florida for Bahamas use, but went up the East coast to Canada too.
Then sold it to build an oceanfront home on acreage in Nova Scotia.
Just sold that, after 13 more years, last Fall.

Your boat sounds amazing. I fear it would be to big for me as 65% plus is solo use
( with admiral present it is still a solo operation!)

Now just imagine who that belonged to...
Most Albins that size are one motor, though I learned on, and only really know, twin engines.
