Lifts are by lift master
Doors are 18x10
Track was installed as per my design. I know when they had to correct the erroneous initial installation they had to wait for more track. I'm not sure if the bend was custom or they had something that was close. Bend is about 45deg

Was the 45 degrees intended to leave more headroom directly inside the doors while not requiring a 2 story vertical front to the shop if they went straight up? I had not seen 45 degrees either but it is a great idea.

Yep, head room. Dormer window in front was sized to be between both inner tracks

Wow, glad photobucket came to senses, easier than me reloading this build!

Where does the time go? After nearly 2 yrs in the space, there isn稚 much I would have changed. Got it mostly right the first time.
As far as updates, a hybrid was added.

New planer/jointer coming for Xmas for the woodshop. Went with this 16 machine

I"m building a shop / barn now. I like the way you designed the steps leading to the second floor. They are out of the way and don't take up too much floor space. I wish I thought to add an I beam as well. Too late for me to change. As for your tools and equipment...I wouldn't know how to work any of it. I'm just real proud of myself when I perform a successful oil change. I went with larger doors on my shop though. 14*14 the kind that slide open - I have a large cab tractor that's tall and batwing mower. Nice job! Enjoy.

Beautiful car.

I was curious about the black units against the wall. I found this, I think these are them.

That is a very impressive lift unit!!

Yes, had a couple years. Love the lifts
Wireless, cordless, modular, lift in different sets, lift and put on stands and go lift something else even on the driveway

Awesome lifts!!! Very effective use of space!!! What does one of those cost???

   / New shop started #133
Seeing the lifts in operation really shows how smart you where to raise your ceiling as high as you did!!!

   / New shop started #134
A 12ft ceiling will generally allow hoist use. 14ft will allow rigs with higher than normal stance, such as a utility bed truck with ladder rack.

I Googled those lifts as I've never saw them before. $33,600 will buy a set of four.

Agree w the ceiling height. Doors also follow rafter line so they don’t come into the space. Lifts=Not cheap, I think I was under that above quote as the stands run 800 or so a piece and that was about what I paid. I may get some short height stands also, will see.

The monarch lift I had priced out including the concrete specs I needed ( big floor and I didn’t want to bother with a variable thickness pour) with a lift sized at the capacity for the trucks, forklifts etc, it was a wash.
I wanted the space open. Not for everyone but i Couldn’t be happier

I totally agree in regards to space. I use a 4 post drive on. It doesn't require any concrete exceptions. I have it bolted down in my current shop. I'm going to leave it portable in my new shop for better versatility.

Once you have hoist capability you won't be without it. My creeper hangs on the wall. :)

Very nice lift setup, I’ve all was seen them use the wheels as a lift point, the end lift on the ford really shows its versatility.

The Mohawk version of this (2yrs ago) also did side lifts from frame.
I lifted my trailer this way w end mount attachments, car =I’m not sure rotary would approve (each column is rated for 13,000 each) but from a side load/balance point perspective....

No big deal w the stands, lift and drop on stands, use lifts for something else
