I've used other forums with this software and it really is quite nice once the bugs get worked out. However, it has always bothered me that there is no way to return to the previous level by clicking a link on the bottom of the page. This was one of the things I really liked about TBN.

Example -- After scrolling down to the bottom of the thread and reading the last post, you used to be able to click "Return to Index" (or something similar) to return to the next level up (list of threads).

Other than that, looks like you guys are spending some huge time here cleaning things up a bit. I must say, I admire your hard work. It's not an easy job to please everyone!

Why do I see the HTML Mark Up instead of the text?

Like this for example

Because the forums are set to now allow HTML, and all the old markup came in as HTML. So we have to run a process to filter/change it all.

The HTML code is currently turned OFF See the option box in the lower left corner of the screen?

There are options that the administrators can turn on that will allow us users to alter the appearance. Currently those options seem to be turned off. But I do agree with you, the screens are pretty low contrast right now.

I think that feature is still there - it's called Forum Jump and it's at the bottom right of the page.

Existing signatures (those existing pre-update) are not being displayed. They are being displayed for new posts, however.

maybe a stupid question. but I get the post repeated.there are two of every post. I am set to the Linear setting. If that makes a difference.

When I am at the Discussion Forum main screen and I click the IE6 Refresh button, the page reloads/refreshes but the forums that were previously marked as having unread messages are still marked as such even though I already read all the posts in them. I tried all the IE6 settings for page refresh and the problem did not change.

It looks like the feature that keeps track of unread posts is not updating. If I completely exit from IE6 and then restart and go to TBN, the forums that indicate unread threads are always the same as they were when I started to use TBN a few hours ago. Is this me or TBN? It also says my last visit was at 3:39 which it isn't. It should be 5:29 EDT.

Do you have to fill out the "Title:" box when replying?
Does it become necessary to track where you've posted or something?

What is the difference between the Avatar Edit and the Profile Picture Edit? I up loaded one on avatar and it shows up on my posts now. Also up loaded a different one for profile but only the avatar pic shows up when I check my profile??

The part that I like the least so far is that there is no timed view. I have always really like the 12 and 24 hour view. I bet that that won't work with this new setup?

Report bad post would be if a post needs moderator attention.

User pictures are simply pictures shown on your profile. Avatars are what show with your posts.

You don't have to enter a secondary title.
