From the Kubota Global site. Four new engines certified by the U.S. EPA and California that have a DOC only and no DPF muffler. Lets hope it expands across the full range that all the compact tractors use.

Others like Agco and some Bobcat models are using that system successfully already.

WOW!! My new tractor with a DPF is now obsolete!!

Interesting. From 49 to 73hp, and all with turbos.

And all add an inter cooler into the mix, something not shown on the others. My Tier 4 interim M135GX does have an inter cooler plus DPF.

Interesting, I wonder how they are controlling the particulate without the dpf? It will be interesting to see how this develops since everyone basically is going the dpf route.

DOC has always been a means to reduce the pollutants. Nothing really new here except that Kubota is offering an alternative that might fit into an application better. The DOC is not as effective in reducing PM so the engines use additional treatments. Note no N/A and all are inter cooled.

I'd be more apt to buy something like that, no regenerations or that kind of BS. I'd still just remove it as soon as I got the tractor home though.
