Need insulated doghouse help

I bought one of the insulated dog housed sold at TSC (made by Rementon gun mfg) for our husky lab mix, (he is inside most of the time but always wanting outside) he won't use the house lays in the dirt rain or snow & sets out in it if it is blowing the harder the more he wants out ... go figure. lol. Were in Ohio too and when it gets below 20 it is hard to get him to come IN he won't listen sets on top of the hill looking around and you have to go get him which means he wasn't to knock ya down playing

Nice project. We are due to get some new dogs in the next year and will look up this link for their house. Our children now 3,5,6, and 8 and kids and dogs just go together. Great design Ideas. One thing I may do is use the polyurethane foil coated board (WAYYY overthinking it....I know) But this foil realy reflects the heat. I use a 3/4" sheet on my tractor seat in the winter and I stay warm...try it it really works amazingly well. And work much better than the now radiant foam.

And my appologies to DAVITK for overthinking it. And I do like your signature (the 2 rolls of duck/duct tape).
