Im talking the hub cover-that holds the oilIf I break a hub I'm screwed either way lol
Ah, yeah I can see that, but have never had that problem. Can see it possibly being more of a problem on singles as the cap sticks out further then on a dual wheel.Im talking the hub cover-that holds the oil
Was this on the new Kaufman? I always carried a spare also. Some of the new designs seem to be a bit more robust then the older ones. Then again I have an 80's 10ton trailer that still has the original caps on it, so who knows.I had one crack this summer. Never hit anything I know of. Oil drained out. Luckily I caught it going over the scale. They can simply crack. Now I carry a spare.
Here is the sales receipt and an old registration but I only see the weight of the trailer, not the GVW, I couldn't find it on either one of my goosenecks registrations either. My 14K trailer is not in FL, and is currently not with me.
I had a previous FL trailer, and the trailer GVW was listed on that registration..

I can think of a pretty major issue you've had with it though: It cost a lot of your money to purchase, lol.Going on 13 plus years with my 20ft PJ trailer 7000 lbs axles rub rails 16 inch e-rated tires. Not one single issue

"I could probably get what I paid for it selling it used today".I bought my 7k 18 foot trailer about 12 years ago. I keep thinking I paid $3000 for it but I saw the receipt for it a few weeks ago and it was a little over $2000. I could probably get what I paid for it selling it used today.

I saw it on the sales receipt it was the registration that myself and Fried1765 were trying to sort out/or find it on.
Bought a Big Tex 30’ GN in 2015 for $9999."I could probably get what I paid for it selling it used today".
You could possibly even get slightly more, depending on condition.
Buying and owning a new trailer is nearly as good as having money sitting in the bank......and you can USE the trailer the entire time!
