Congrats on your successful escape from town, and on your thermostat solution. Looks like the Trailer Queen is right at home in the snow.

I just noticed the damage to your right rear fender, ouch! I must have missed the post describing that close encounter. Was it the same one that damaged your cab top?

I trashed both fenders from low hanging oak branches. I have the replacements in a box but won't put those on until I'm done clearing and can be reasonably certain things will stay perdy once fixed.

BTW, the new chainsaw mount I made really is working out well. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the plastic scabbard to drain water and I need to safety wire the scabbard in the steal frame so that the scabbard stays put when the saw is pulled.

TractorLegend, thank you for the suggestion, but I need to update my coolant adaptor set. Mac Tools wants a fortune for the update kit and an entirely new not-Mac Tools ADT-style master coolant kit is in my future.

What is that contraption looking out from your dock?

The bar above the platform holds a pulley that acts as a raised fulcrum changing the angle the cable pulls my dock out greatly reducing the load the cable must carry and reducing the initial force required to pull the dock up out of the lake sand.

Today I made a new driveway cut using the Everything Attachments box blade to cut through the frozen ground and remove the stumps.

Shoot, for trees that small, get the raised FEL bucket up against them and then move the bucket down to lever the tree over and pop the rootball out. You're making life hard on yourself flush cutting the stump first. The tree trunk is good leverage.

In the cold soft woods like pine becomes brittle, too brittle to do as you suggest.

I hope you weren't ripping out stumps backing up with the box blade. Even if you weren't, watch cutting in reverse. At the rate you're tearing things up, a sway link bending/breaking would be the least of your problems. I don't know how the links attach to the axle on your Kioti, but if its a cast piece...you don't even want to go there. I cut a lot of drainage swales in hard ground in reverse, but I use 2WD. It'll slip before things break.

Eric, as with any good tool, it looks like that BB paid for itself with the first use. ;)

Interesting about the fender damage on the oak branches. Another TBN'r with a new NX4510 just mounted a tool box with through bolts at the back of his left rear fender. I'm curious to see how that holds up.

Yup, yup. I'm very pleased with the box blade.

Nothing tractor related today. I did fail to report that Monday I got the tractor very warmed up. The new 185 degree T-stat works way better than stock insofar as warming up times, but I smelled antifreeze for two hours. Tuesday, I checked the cold engine for anti-freeze. It took maybe six ounces. I really did not smell anti-freeze. I'll check it again the next time I use it, but I'm hoping that somewhere on my NX is a place that catches anti-freeze that takes forever to cook off and the two anti-freeze leaks I've already fixed, where in fact the source of the original leak I noticed.

The big issue around here is when does the winterized blend of diesel 1 mixed into our off-road diesel 2 show up?

Eric, think i might buy a tractor like yours. Was wondering your like and/or dislikes since you now have a few hundred hours on yours.
Thanks, Gary
