Do you have any plans for the mid PTO? I know the snowblowers are not out yet, and there's no mmm.

The mid PTO simply bolts on there, you could remove it and replace it with the block-off plate. Probably a very inexpensive part. And you'd have it if you ever needed it. Not a big deal, but you seem to do a lot of stuff in the woods with the grapple... so it would eliminate that as an issue and give you some more clearance :)

Although I have no foreseeable plans to use it, I ordered the mid-point PTO while it is still available when I purchased the tractor and the dealer put it on. Sadly, the dealer never gave me the stock block-off plate, so I've had to order the stock block off plate, a new seal for the mid-point (which I'll throw on the shelf after I repair the seal), three pails of Mobilfluid 424, and a tube of Toyota's form in place gasket (FIPG) 00295-00103, since Kioti doesn't use a gasket.

All in all, likely about $400 in parts and supplies, my time, plus about 400 miles in transporting because it is easier to bring my tractor to my tools than to bring my tools to the tractor in the field.

In the running out of things to do with the tractor stuck on my trailer until parts arrive, I looked at my smashed, plastic grips that shattered in the cold this past winter and thought, kung-foo, rubber, bicycle grips! $8.00 and a round trip to my local bicycle dealer later and I popped my new bicycle grips on using compressed air to make the new grips easy to slide on.

I'm surprised it doesn't have a screw on cap , that goes over the shaft and seal. My kubota has that and with out it would be very easy to get a stick or something into the seal as yours did.

What is interesting is that the Kioti's come with an excellent screw on hard cap for the rear PTO that really protects it. I don't have the mid PTO option on my tractor, so I don't know if there is a cap for it or not.

Yeah I noticed that, wonder if the housing is threaded on the mid plate for one but it too has to be ordered separate.

The mid PTO has no provision for a threaded cup like the rear, but that would be a good upgrade for the next version and easy enough to change given rapid prototyping and the ease to make match plates for production casting these days.

No leaks and time to put the missing belly armor plate back on.

I installed a Kenwood KMM-BT312U in my NX, very pleased with it so far.

I also installed a mount for my iPhone5s, and ran a USB to Lightning plug down to the mount. It will play though Bluetooth, or through the USB when connected while charging the phone. The head unit seems to have pretty good Siri integration too. I am able to press the phone button on the head unit, and pass hands-free commands to the phone, such as "Call x", "Send text to x", and "Open Podcast x" using the head-unit mic. I am not sure if the commands are being relayed though BT or USB, but whichever, it works nicely.

Looked at a comparable Pioneer MVH-X370BT, chose the Kenwood because the display controls were better (Auto-Dim, brightness control, and color selection for the backlight). I wanted to be able to choose the backlight and display color to most closely match the rest of the light colors in the tractor, and this was not an option with the other radios I found in the sub $100 category. Lastly, the Pioneer only had 14-watts RMS, the Kenwood 22-watts... but the stock speakers that came with the tractor are limited anyway.. I might replace those next.

All the units I looked at were digital media receivers, no CD.. because I don't have CD's anymore.

Lol no problem, and no hurry. Was just curious to see the full specs. I'd like to see where the numbers come in at different heights, and distances from the pp.

It's also interesting to note, mfgs rate these numbers at different PSI also. My actual lift strength sky rocketed when I adjusted my relief valve to proper spec. It was supposed to be 2500, but was at 2350. I gained about 400 lbs of strength on pallet forks by adjusting to proper spec!

I see that the Kioti loader is spec'd at 2556 PSI. I wonder how the numbers would change across the board if all the relief valves (of competing tractors) were set to the same spec?

TSO, I sent you a pm, is there any chance a non-mechanic would be able to check/adjust the relief valve(es)?? I've got an NX6010. I maxed out my loader the other day lifting up my jon boat, and don't believe it should have maxed yet. I was able to curl it up, but the loader would not lift it up. Thanks.

Kapper, you should have asked this Saturday when I had my guard off on that side.

Although my tractor is back at a tinkerage, my joystick valve is now happily hidden behind an armored guard that I have no intention of removing until the next service or calamity. That said, I looked the main relief valve up in the manual and although there is no provision given for adjusting the main relief valve pressure, looking at the photo in the service manual makes me think that its adjustment may be as easy as adjusting a set screw and locking it down. I'd need to pull the valve out and look at it to be sure.

That said, I condensed what the service manual has to say about it on this following graphic. Be sure to not adjust this thing with the tractor running. Hydro oil can blow straight through gloves and get under your skin, and then you're losing bits of your body as a surgeon lops them off getting the oil out.

You need to make a 0-3000 or 0-5000 psi pressure gauge and plug it into one of your 1/2" rear remote valves. Spec is 2631 psi at wide open throttle. With the gauge plugged in, just let it get to pressure, but don't ride the valve lever because all excess pressure to going through the main relief valve and the manual notes that main relief will wear out when used with single acting rams (which is what your pressure gauge acts like when plugged in).

I've been reading a couple other posts and it seems that there may be a RV on the main hydraulic body, and one as well on the FEL valve... So If I'm hearing you right, you'd just plug the gauge in, and NOT apply the corresponding lever? That would measure the pressure of the pumping system without any hydraulics activated correct? But then wouldn't you need to find if there is a RV on the loader body? It seems to me that all you'd be measuring would just be the entire system pressure??

You plug in a pressure tester, start and rev the engine, operate the rear remote valve and note the pressure (you may want your wife to help so you can read the pressure gauge).

The pressure gauge is going to be either 1/4" or 3/8" and need an adaptor or two to get to a 1/2" male agg quick disconnect so as to be able to plug into a rear remote.

I've directed you to the correct pressure valve, the main relief valve located in the joystick's valve body. There are other pressure valves in the power steering, backhoe if you had one, and HST but you don't need to adjust those.

Ahhh, I see, that was the FEL valve body :). Thank you. I'll have to decide if this is something I want to try or have dealer check it when I do my 50 hr service. Thanks again.

I'll be curious as to what you find when you check the pressure, I had planned on checking mine too before I get started using the tractor. I have a 1/2" pioneer ag male fitting on the gauge to plug straight into a remote port, but then I have a couple of adapters made up to plug into the loader connections or other places if need be. Also if you do adjust your valve, make small adjustments it doesn't take much to increase it.
