I finally got some pics of the HF hitch. Howse brush hog attached, showing very little sloppyness on the lower links and the washers I added to the 'quick hitch ready' Howse Box scraper.

I have a Bush Hog too, and it looks as if the 3/4" bolt (and bushing) are made for a Quick Hitch type attachment. The distance is the required 15" between it and the lower pins. This leaves the top hitch pin unused. With this, I do not have to use the adapter. It appears the fit is a little tight, but will work once I replace the J-hook bolts with pins.

Question is: is that what that lower bolt is actually for?

I am pretty good at Math, I don't think it's less, maybe you were speaking of something else...

Anyway, with the Width: 27-1/4", you might need to widen it bit to fit everything. I got the HF and it was 27-1/2" and in order to work with the KK Rake I had to take it out a bit so I would imangine that the 1/4 lost on that one is going to require some mod as well.

Seem to fit other impliments very well.

Looks to be the same thing though...

Yea I was replying to the previous post by Mike57 who said that some places wanted more than 300 dollars. But your right HF is the cheapest, and seems to once adapted to go with everyones equipment fine working.I have seen any posts that it twisted or failed,so thats a good point .
I had the HF hitch and returned it after i found I needed the adapter and also with that it wouldn't work with all my attachments. Hated to do it with shipping etc. But they stood behind the return.Good Company.

Been away for a while building my mountain home. The HF quick hitch is working well. Hasn't come off with tall the work I've done.

For those of you that were curious to see what that foundation looks like posts ago....here is a picture. One more month and I'm done......Very time consuming and I am beat.

Well my Harbor Freight QH has taken quite the beating. It has bent and broken one weld. Tonight it goes under the welder and I am going to beef it up. I'll try and get some pictures of the results.

would this QH from HF work on a JD 2305? anyone have it on a 2305?

I believe all these QHs are the same, some may be made of a little better steel and have cleaner welds. Main thing is to measure the bottom pins on all your attachments to see if it will work, and then get the correct one, I think HF has 3 different QHs. I have a HF and have had to modify a couple of implements but it has been worth it.

I made a QH for myself (No HF here) and had to modify almost all of my implements (Since I made them it was my fault), but I still say it was worth it.

For example, yesterday my neighbor wanted to expand his parking area. There are lots of small trees and a bit of a hump that needed to be leveled out. So I pick up the scoop and moved a bit of rock dumped in the way. Dropped the scoop to pull a rope to pull the trees out one by one. Tied the rope to the QH. Picked up the rollover BB and raked out roots and roughed things in. Dropped the rollover and picked up the RB with gauge wheels to put the final smooth on things. Dropped the RB and grabbed the scoop again to spread out the rock. In a 2 hour span that is a lot of changing and the QH made it a bunch faster.

Speeco quick hitches I think are made of thicker steel and more substantial welds than the H.F. ones, hence the price jump. also have a good warranty and are specd correctly for the cat.

Perhaps my post has been seen before but I couldn't figure out how to start a new thread so....... the following:

I have owned HF's quick hitch w/adapter for several months and have found that it works great...... BUT.. yesterday I backed up to my bush hog for the first time this year and the QH worked just like it's supposed to work but the problem came when I tried to connect the PTO driveshaft... a major pain! The QH was in the way as was the protective shroud that Kubota created... In frustration, I finally removed both the shroud and the QH and hooked up the old fashioned way... Grrrrr

Now, I have seen other brands of QH's of similar design and can't say that one is built better or with better materials than the other.. They all seem quite capable.... At this point, I'm going to try to modify my QH in a fashion that it will work much like Pat's and other QH designs simply to remove most of the bulk, which should enable me more access to the PTO...

In summary, my advice to others is that if you can afford it, buy Pat's or one similiar to Pat's..... I truly believe you will be happier... Okidokers?

Is anyone else had the problem of the implement(s) top link hitting the bolts from the top hook? Aside from that this thing is great, I was going to use hydraulics/jack to seperate the top link on my implements just 1/4-1/2" total and it would clear and work just as it should. Thanks!

I had that problem and solved it by cutting off the bolts flush with the plates and tack welding the ends. My attachments all have the same spacing for the top hook, so I didn't need it to be adjustable.

I cut my hook pins to a close tolerance (as short as possible to work with) drilled new holes and use those "hairpin" pins to hold them in. I have to adjust my hook as well. You may be able to grind a shallow C in your implement.

I did a pin with a hairpin in it to solve the issue, still had to round one implement a bit, the others were fine.

I bought one to try out first to see if it would work on my bush-hog, and if the HF one didn't work then i was going to buy the I-match.... But the HF one has worked just fine.

They had the HF quick-hitch on sale for $69 and i had a 20% off coupon, and it was $56.99 after using a coupon.... At that price it was hard to pass up without trying it out first.

If the HF one didn't work, then i would have made it into a hitch for moving trailers.
