Finally got enough snow to use my new Snow Blower. I was very disappointed when the big Nor'Easter went right around us last week.

Here are a couple of pictures my wife took while I was out "working" on the driveway. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We only got about 14", but with 330ft and the parking area it was enough to for a good test drive.

I also sneaked into a neighbors driveway that hadn't been done yet today /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice looking rig! How's it do without chains? My brother-in-law lives in Watertown on Patterson Rd. Still shovels his driveway by hand. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Of course he's single and works seasonal so he has the time. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Have fun with that new snowblower.

You folks in snow country must find it pretty easy to justify the cost of these tractors. Just look at all that work your back isn’t doing.

Great pictures

You can say that again! For 18yrs I shoveled and walked behind a 23" snow blower. I can say w/o a doubt having a tractor mounted snowblower is *wonderful*. It moves huge amts of snow quickly including burms. Whats not to like. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I didn't have any trouble without chains. My driveway has a little slope to it, but nothing I was worried about before hand. I was a little concerned about what would happen if I got off the edge of the blacktop, it drops a couple of inches in a few places, but I just picked up the blower and drove back on. No sweat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi Frank,

Yes, this is THE Watertown NY. It has been an unusual winter so far. With my new blower, this year I'll be looking forward to snow storms for something besides skiing. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I do get amused at you guys looking cold, all bundled up in your Carhartts.

I sure am glad I have a cab tractor, especially with the blower on the back. Snow dust is miserable.

I know what you mean. A couple of days ago we had a north wind and temps in the lower forties. Customer was out and about wrapped up like he was in Alaska. I had on my standard jeans, thermal underwear shirt, and the obligatory red tee.

The most common question I get this time of year is, "don't you have a jacket?"

Amen to that Harv,

I wear a quilted flannel shirt as my winter coat, unbuttoned as my light jacket. It's very comfy, and quite stylish. I always get the same question, "Where's your coat". Folks, it's only 30. And I am either walking from one building to another, or working in it. 'Course if I am on the tractor, then I do look a bit more like Nanook of the north.

Conversely, working on the golf course in June in Ohio, some mornings it would be 45 or so. Sitting on your butt mowing whatever grass needed it was cold, and I am not above wearing my carrharts in June if I wasn't "working". Looks a bit strange, but I was warm.

Took my oldest son ice skating the other day. Temp was around 35 and it was sunny. I had shorts on from working in the house so I just went like that (with a jacket). I will say, I was the only one on the ice in shorts. Got a lot of comments but it really wasn't bad at all. Not sure I'll be plowing snow in shorts though, gotta be moving a lot to stay warm /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Nice looking blower. For those of us not around snow country, Watertown gets as much snow as anywhere in the US.

Please keep us informed how it is working out!

Buck

P.S. Does the snow blow on you at all, or is the lift strong enough to move it to the side?
