Is the blue one a CBR 90 ? My first real bike was very close to it. Same tank and frame layout. Fixed foot pegs that broke every time you dropped it.
At the time I was riding with buddies who parents had a lot of money. For one year they rode new version of Honda. Then the next upgraded to MX Yamaha 100 and 125s. I still remember trying to keep up with them on my old Honda 90 with a few inches of travel front and rear.
I loved that bike and learned to patch up a lot of stuff by having it.

It's actually a 1965 Honda C200. Some call them the "Baby Dream". It's a 90cc push rod motor with a manual clutch. Like me you have some great memories of these little gems. Here's a video of my restoration.

Kernopelli, I had a 76 YZ250 when I was a junior in high school, bought it new and that was one of the happiest days of my then 17 year old life. Now let's see if anyone here remembers who Preston Petty was.

That was my life EXACTLY!! Me and my buddy Kenny. Kenny?, is that you?

Hehe.... No kenny here, too bad we haveńt met on the net 16 years ago. !!! Oregon would have been a nice trip from eastern Canada thru the back roads , just for the heck of it!!! That 10 000 miles back and forth trip would have prob killed the engine on my honda.... I could have cone back home hitch hicking..... Down on the trans-canada highway.....

We always referred to the Honda Dream as a nightmare. :) Just kidding, that's a very nice job you've done there.

My first bike was a Honda 72 SL 125. I rode the wheels off of that thing and apparently it wasn't as tough as me. So many problems, I switched to Yamaha. Bought a 76 RD 400. Man did I have fun outrunning all the Honda XL 350's in town that thought they were bad to the bone. :)

Anyhow, you meet the nicest people on a Yamaha (was their slogan). Over the years I had many. Even the first R1 that came to Austin back in 98.

I had 3 kids late in life so I don't have many toys anymore. I'm down to an XT 600 that hasn't been on the roads since '07. I do ride it occasionally around the property.

My best friends felt sorry for me recently and asked if I knew which side the clutch lever was on. Anyway one of them said to meet him at his mom's garage in a half an hour. He brought an extra bike over there for me to ride. I was in Heaven on earth.

We went on a spirited ride for about 20 miles on country roads. Then he made me trade off begrudgingly and forced me to ride this.

We rode back to town and another buddy forced me to go ride his new bike. He really had to twist my arm.

All in all, not too shabby of a day.

Hey Mace, do you still wish you had that Norton? Have you seen the new one's?

Yes, I have some great friends. A little rough around the edges, but great through and through.

It took about a week for my feet to come back to earth after getting to ride all 3.

The vmax is a tire scorcher. Freaking crazy torque monster. The Ducati Diavel has a really hot V twin. It actually lopes like a hot cammed 454, but only 2 cylinders. Kind of hard to explain.
