mower clutch

any one know if the mower clutch for a 146 is adjustable. seems to cut off when it gets warm..or what replacements ???

need help yard needs to be mowed !!

Yes, it is adjustable.

the clutch coil is probably going open circuit when it warms up. this is common. could also be a faulty switch.

another thing to consider is..... Is the battery staying charged? this type of Clutch/PTO pull quite a bit of power from the battery, if the battery is weakened or not charging enough to keep up with the power being drawn from it, can cause the clutch to kick off, give the battery a good charge then run the mower, if the clutch stay engaged and doesn't kick off, then I would next check into the charging system, or possibly a new Battery,

that is another i should have suggested as mine had a blown up reg and when the battery went down it did release the clutch. i made my own reg for it and no problems with that part since, just need a new shaft and bearing carrier now....
