How tall is your shed?

That's good to hear. But what about damaged wiring from mice? Anyone know of any low barrier to put around machinery to keep mice out?

Mothballs and luck

My door is 8 1/2' and the ceiling in the shed is about 11' sloping to 9'.
I use some of that mouse rodent replant stuff and just sprinkle it all over the gravel. We also have an outdoor cat so between he two I have not had any issue in that shed as the cat seems to like to hang out there. Sometimes sleeps on the Mini ex or the tractor. Works for both of use - she gets a roof and an elevated platform and I get NO mice!

I'm going to have a small 12'x22' pole barn with 12' high walls and 10' high door to house the mini ex that finally showed up today in the rain. It looks like I can do some serious digging with this thing. The ripper is still on back order. It was the first time I ever drove a excavator and it was interesting driving it down the ramps off the trailer. LOL

Some operators could load that on a railway flatcar without a ramp. You can climb over obstacles by lifting the machine and resting it on the blade. Then swing the house around and lift the tacks off the ground. Lower the front blade to lift the front higher as needed. Then push until you get the tracks to bite
Practice picking up beer cans with the thumb.

When I was putting over 500 hours on my excavator I was impressing myself that I developed real skill levels, Now I put about 100 hours on the machine in two years, not doing anything requiring a lot of skill and I have lost my finesse with the machine. Master Yoda, I am no longer one with the force.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone make a soft Cab for the FOPS Mini's? I put a soft cab on my L39. I'll never want to plow snow again without protection.

Yeah, I've seen some Youtube videos of people loading them on trailers without using ramps. I don't know if I'll ever get to that skill level.

Is it OK to hose the area around the track and rollers after each use to get all the dirt and debris out? There doesn't seem to be any spots to grease in that area that water will wash away.

YES -best to always clean your sprocket and rollers. Less dirt/rocks/etc causes less wear. I think even Kubota recommends it in the book.
