Actually, I don't think it would have helped with this guy. The tree had leaned over during a storm a few years ago & I finally decided to do something with it. A couple of hrs. of work & a little help from my mechanical friend & it was all over.
This is my first time posting a pic so if it doesn't come up, just chalk it up to me.

you're so right! I've got enough stumps standing around to keep me busy for a loooong time. Every once in awhile i go after one, but they're such a pain i lose interest pretty quick. Sides, it's time to bush hog the pasture before the wet weather gets here. We just got 4" of rain in the last 2 days so once it drys out, I'll have to get at it.
