Here is my loader control valve. The loader is a ML108H and the little diagram shows a float function on it.. and to push upwards past the loader down. If it’s like the other tractor I use.. I’d assume it “clicks” into the float position 🤷🏻‍♂️

Does the curl dump have detent on it.? If not I don’t believe that valve has float since the spring caps or covers appear to be the same length while detent option the cover is usually longer

I'm thinking the same thing from the equal cap lengths.

Just wondering, is that a Mahindra 2810 or a 3510?

The lever on my 3510 is pulled back to float the boom.
I have to hold it in float, it stayed in detent many years after purchase but everything wears after 20+years

Yeah, it’s on Mahindra 3510. I attached a photo of the little diagram attached to the control valve. It shows to push it forward almost in a detent manner, but it won’t allow me to push it past the loader drop

OK, those caps are the same length because you should have the detent setting to the top and to the right.

If it does not want to go into that position it may have something loose inside the springs or they are seized up in the valve.

I was wondering about it being a 2810 because I have only seen 2810s with a dash and levers like that. But I have not seen many 3510 hydros.

Here’s some questions. Maybe a dumb ones but if I unplug the loader quick connects and take that cap off the bottom of the valve to see if it’s stuck or something. Will hydraulic fluid be pouring out or not much since the pump isn’t pressurizing the system? I assume if I take it apart.. I will have to bleed the system? Or is it self bleeding?

There should not be any pressure or flow under those caps. Just be careful since there might be some spring loaded parts that will want to be escape artists. Depending on lever or joystick is oriented it might want to push the valve spool so be prepared to control that movement also.
