Thanks again. I actually measured my tongue weight at 823 pounds, and my total tow weight is 5560 lbs, so my tongue weight is right on line with the 10 to 15 percent recommendation. I upgraded to a Class IV hitch, a 10,000 lb. ball, and the equalizer is rated for 1,000 lb. ball weight and 10,000 lb. tow weight.

It's running beautifully, but she's a demon on fuel. The price just dropped 7 cents, and we're now paying 83.2 cents a liter up here, which equates to roughly $3.33 a US gallon. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Diesel is about 72 cents a liter or $2.88 a US gallon.

I'm thinking about finding some kind of support group... "Hi, my name is Slim and I'm hydrocarbon dependent..."
