Paul:

You've probably already done this but incase you haven't, it's a good idea to put up signs asking everyone to smile. Our's read "Smile we want to photo your best side".

Our next door neighbour was a Calgary city policeman and he said that cameras were without a doubt the best deterrent for crime.

Cheers.
Glenn.

Naah just get a sign like this.

Glenn I'm sure your right. I like this system. We can view everything via our iPhone. If someone comes on the property it will snap photos and email them to us. Pretty cool indeed. I was considering supplying live streaming for my next project in the shop. Just may do it

I agree and I have stickers like that on my stuff. I posted one on here one time and got rapped on the knuckles from the moderator "Bird" because of it I left the site when he took my photos down as well. He told me people could take it as a threat

I have a "Bird" sticker on my hardhat. It consists of five fingers with the middle one fully extended, and the rest retracted.

I keep a couple of shackles on my tractor for "just in case" as well. I put an o-ring on the pin and a slight countersink on the shackle so when the pin is hand tightened the o-ring gets crushed just a little bit. That way you can leave the pin finger tight and the vibrations will not loosen them up (and loose them).

I would copy your design but the front grill has to be removed when the sub frame for the front blower gets mounted.

 Matt my sticker is a little less graphic. Here's mine :D

Good idea on the shackle pins. I just put one removable electrical tie rap through mine preventing the bolts from backing out.

I thought parrots were tropical. I figured it would be a trained puffin in your neck of the woods.

I really like this one also.....kinder version of the one I have on the barn.

Here in Texas we do have our share of characters. My neighbour up the road has a small welding shop. The sign on his door reads "If you can read this......then you are within range". Tends to keep undesirables away.

By the way....Happy Labour Day y'all........have a safe long weekend.

Great work Paul !

I love the LED work lights on the blower , I looked into putting them on my plow truck but ended up with halogen. I friend put them his truck and hates them, they don't melt the snow and he has to get out and clean them off all the time, I never thought about that !

Ya that's one of the disadvantages of LED lighting, they run cool. It's been a big beef with truckers as well using them on the back of there trailers. Once they get snow on them it don't melt off. As for the ones on the chute. I figured having them there was better than not having them at all. I can always go with a set of wipers on them like Volvo had on there headlights some years ago  Thanks.

Or put electric heaters on them similar to what some outside mirrors on cars have now.

Ya. Could do that but if it comes down to it being a real problem I'll just remove them. Easy on, easy off. Problem solved :D

I think at some point you loose the advantage of the low power draw of LEDs.
