l2501 bushhogging questions

On most bushhogs, the tail wheel can be flipped up, and you conteol the angle with the 3 point arms. So, yes, call rental folks for sure; but that doesnt get your time back; it might be better to go ahead and flip the tail wheel up, adjust the 3 point to level, 3 inches off the round, and roll

I hate to get spanked, but wth.....I have for years only used a cutter at 1500 rpms. figured i was being easy on my engine. SO, what is "correct" PTO rpm - 540

Your machine will have a mark on the tachometer indicating what engine RPMs produce 540 pto rpms.

I did what you suggested. Though mostly level ground, very uneven surface. About two acres was all I could stand and still a very ugly cut.

Unfortunately this is costing you TIME!

I'd tell the rental company (Front Range Kubota in Fountain, CO) you want a unit that WORKS! To bring you another one ASAP!

And a 50% discount for what you paid, for the time and hassle you've put into diagnosis of there broken equipment!

Front Range is coming to pick up the junk, no rental fee, but has no other equipment to offer. Guess i will just enjoy the scenery.

Is there somewhere else you can an rent from?

I see there are a couple of Home Depot's in Colorado Springs near by ... They have a rental center ... I know they usually have TLB's, but may have a tractor and brush hog ...

Or just get another cup of coffee!
