Start with the wiring diagram in the service manual for your machine. Shortcuts likely will not fix the problem.

Nice little tractor with all the right attachments.
Glow plugs are useful to help start a cold engine in cold weather.
If the temperature is above freezing, I'd probably begin by disconnecting the glow plugs and see if it will crank and start without using them.

I bought my B7100DT new in 1978, even in the summer with 80/90 degrees, if it sits for 5 minutes or more, I have to give it 3-4 seconds of glow plugs to start. For a cold start in the summer I give it about 20 seconds. I no longer use it in the winter.

I have a B7200 HST 2WD.

I've pulled the dash off several times to make repaires to wiring and switch gear.

It's not hard, Steering wheel and four screw fasteners. You Will need to have a look!

The B7100 is a classic. It's simple, as reliable as a hammer, rebuildable forever, and will probably still be hard starting for the next half century, too.

I imagine you know that hard starting is typical of low compression. OTOH, even a diesel that is down on compression often works fine once started.

It's hard to be critical of a nearly 50 year old tractor that only wants to work in warm weather.
I'm much the same.

I think it has 1300 hrs, runs fine, plenty of power and uses no oil. As long as I can remember it has always been like that.
