Love the tractor, great you got the tooth bar, nice pallet fork set up. WHERE did you find GREEN grass???

I haven't needed to mow for about 6 weeks We are about 10 inches behind on rain for the year All the grass is brown or gone!

I'm up hear in New England ( Massachusetts) We have had so much rain this year I have about had enough cutting the grass. If I miss a week I'm pretty much screwed. I also have a low water table hear and a creek on each end of my property. I also have a pond behind my barn that I need to dredge out when I get some time and it drys up for a while. I have a bout 3 acers of lawn and My cub cadet does it in about 3 or 4 hours. I have other plans for my Kabota

I decided to go with a tooth and the clamp on pallet forks instead of the quick tach bucket. It was to limited and I would have to fabricate all my attachments not that thats a bad thing but I wanted to get going with things. I am waiting on my post hole digger still. I have a lot of fence to lay. Horse corals mostly. I will admit those fell forks so far have been pretty good

I was thinking about a step but I am pretty concerned about my ground clearance. I have a lot of forest and it is primarily were I’ll be working my tractor and I don’t really want anything hanging low to catch things moving through the woods. I do have to think about skid plates though. 1 of the biggest reasons I selected this model was because of the ability to maneuver through the trees and the soft shoe over the land serves my purpose.

I've had my B-7800 for almost 3 years and have almost 400 hrs. on it. No problems so far. I thought about strengthening my bucket, but decided against it. I would rather damage the bucket then something else major on the tractor. Remember the weakest link breaks, so if you strengthen that then the next weakest link will break. I did bend the top of my bucket slightly but that was my dumbness when moving a huge rock off a small hill it rolled back and smacked the bucket.
One piece of advice is watch using the forks, it will make the tractor a little light. I had 3 almost new railroad ties (9ft) on mine and only had the 2" receiver hitch on the back and it kept lifting the rear even with loaded tires. The 500 lb box blade settles it down nicely.
Let's see since I've had my 7800, I've used a 5 foot tiller with ease at full depth, used post hole digger and ran it down as far as it would go with a 12" auger and never heard it grunt even a little (clay and small rocks), bushhogged weeds over 6ft. high and thick with a 5 ft. cutter without much of a problem, moved more stone, sand and top soil than I can remember (well over 300 tons), mow with my MMM every week, used 5 foot box blade with rippers set at lowest depth, stretched fence with it, and many many other things.
Biggest piece of advice is keep the wife off it. Once my wife got the hang of it she wants to use it all the time.

My B2910 is a bit over 3 years old (I think...now just when did I buy my best buddy?) and has 650+ hours on it. Same tractor as the B7800 with a few frills.

By the way, for using a post hole digger this is the tractor (B7800 or B2910) to buy, not the B3030, in my opinion. The tie breaker is having the foot clutch for control of the PHD.

Now on the bucket, I say reinforce the top lip. I did and have never had an issue with the loader, and I have stalled it when trying to move concrete pieces mixed in with fill dirt more times than I can count. I doubt that a weak upper lip offers any advantage over a strong upper lip. I doubt bending a bucket offers much weak-link type protection. From what I can see in my case it is the system pressure relief valve that protects my loader.

I will try to attach a photo of my stiffer upper lip...I think I used 2x2x1/4 inch angle. I know I could have stitch welded it, but just started welding at the time and needed the practice, therefore the continuous bead...

I was gona hard face the side of the loader bucket but I have now decided that the wt. I’ll add will not be worth it. I will reinforce the top for the chain hooks alone. I would like to consider a grapple at some point but I will see. The posthole digger is my most pressing use at the moment. I have felt the forks and the wt. distribution issues without counter wt. I wish there was more time in a day to do things. I am going to build a 3 point pallet for set up when I get time. I have a nice set of forks off a fork lift. I just need to build a frame.

I actually got these through my Kabota dealer. they were like $400 but I had a lot of concerns about damage to my bucket and bending and slipping. I am in the Trucking business so I do a lot of work with fork trucks so it was important to me to have fell forks. They sit real nice against the tooth bar. So far there great. I am going to make a 3 point fork lift frame as well for heaver lifting. as well as easy ballast wt

Who's toothbar setup did you go with on your 7800?

I went with the ATI with replaceable teeth. It was only another $50 for that feature. I also added some pics to show how the tooth bar stabilizes the forks as the fork rest sits against the the tooth bar

The only disadvantage to the tooth bar and the forks together is when using pallets the teeth steal 2 inches of the forks.

Thank you, I have seen in some of your other threads your thinking of the snow blower too but you want to leave your Fel on the tractor. Now I could be wrong and I would check the dealer to be sure but I thing the fell sits in front of the snow blower and you can use them at the same time. I don't think I could deal with a rear mount blower myself. It does look pretty close though. If it will work I'm sure you would have to remove the fel support stands

The only thing I can do to save face is claim some kind of temporary insanity. The only other excuse I have is I am a Natural Blonde LOL some times that goes a long way
