John Deere 2240

[Sprocketman]

I've had this 2240 for many years and when I bush hog my 3 point keeps raising by itself. You have to constantly monitor it or you'll be cutting air. Anyone know what might be causing this?

My guess is 3pt control lever friction washers are worn therefore 3pt control lever eases rearward while mowing causing 3pt & mower to rise. I suggest to add shim washer to pin holding friction washers or R&R friction washers so 3pt control lever remains where last located.
