Had my power steering hoses re-built about 10 years ago. That business no longer exists. Need to repair one of the hoses as it's starting to split. No hydraulic place locally except for a John Deere dealer and a car mechanic.
The both looked at the hose then scratched their heads, then took a sharp intake of breath, then told me that it would be expensive, very very expensive, due to the need to weld on a nipple to the existing elbow fitting.
I since found the parts list from when they were done last time.
Can anyone tell me if the elbow fittings were welded last time ("Tubeweld Nipple" on list), in which case, this repair would seem to be much simpler (and cheaper).
If it has already been cut and welded, can anyone tell me what would be left on the list that I should order then all I need to do is find someone to crimp the thing.

Only available off the shelf from overseas and unknown quality.

Thanks
