Hey guys,

I'm trying to help a friend of mine, who is the new owner of a used JD770. He says the power steering is a bit jerky and is trying to find out where to add power steering fluid. He lives about 4 hours away from me, so I can't look at the tractor. My initial thoughts are, it's all hydraulic.. one fill point.

I have a 1999 4200, his is a 1995 790.

Anyone know if this is a separate system,.. or all hydraulic? Where does he add power steering fluid?

Thanks -Jeff

I would check the hydraulic system oil level, and maybe the strainer/filter. I seem to recall the PS had it's own pump but used the tractor hydraulic system.
