JD 455 coolant

Can someone give me the capacity for the 455 cooling system? I want to change mine and want to pick up some Cool-Guard. Do you need to put the additive in for the diesel to prevent cavitation?

I found the online manual for 495. Its capacity is 3qt. So I think the 455 should be close.

On the Deere site it said Cool-Guard contains Anti-cavitation additives to prevent cylinder liner cavitation erosion, coolant leakage into the engine oil, and engine failure.

Looks like I have my answers.

Correct on both. The newer Cool-Guard does contain the DCA your engine needs.
