Well guys this is my second thread here in the forums and I am glad to report that my first problem with the JD 650 is solved! Big shout out to Mike aka thepumpguysc ! I had issues with my tractor idling and wanting to run away from me, after some talking back and forth trial and error on my part, he offered to look at my injector pump and see what he could do. I got the pump back today and after a quick installation and bleeding it is alive and seems to be running fine! While the pump was away being repaired I unseized the frozen brake adjuster arms, installed new shoes and different drums. One drum was frozen/rusted in place and was a nightmare to remove but its good now.
This is my first tractor I am refurbishing on my own and now I am wondering whets next? I know I need to replace the hydraulic fluid with JD Hy guard fluid? I see that it looks milky colored. I am guessing there is a maybe a screen or two to clean and a drain plug I need to find.
Who knows how long the engine oil has been since it's been changed so I will put changing that and a filter on the list to do.
