Does anyone know how the 3 point sway bar rod comes apart in the 4010? I would like to change the transmission fluid and filter but have to remove the rod in order to get to the filter etc. The rod appears to be in two pieces that removes from each side. Thanks, Mike

It’s a one piece rod, but if I remember correctly, it will slide to the side into the rear wheel rim allowing you to get everything out of the way

Yes rod key# 27 in the jd parts link, slides out of the key #25 parts, looks like to me.

You may need to move it to the side, possibly near the rear wheel rim, to get clearance for the filter.
Thank you, I'll remove the lock pin on both sides and try sliding the rod to the left to see if it opens up enough space to access the filter cover

On a related note… are those R-pins the only thing keeping the turnbuckle from rotating?

Yup, my '97 JD-770 has them also. I would get the largest pin to fit the hole tho as mine do bend a bit sometimes. If I remember, it mainly only seems to do it using my Sitrex cutter.
