Go with 6. I have 4 fter and with it angled, it really sucks in dirt and snow.
I have a friend just bought a BX2660 with mmm. He is looking at getting a bb. I feel a 6' blade is not too big for dragging sand around his place on level ground or grating the drive. All the salesmen want to sell him a 4' based on tire width. I feel this is because many folks will snag things due to not being able to operate the equipment properly, not based on equipment capability. I used a 6' blade on a smaller, lighter 21hp 2wd and steered with the brakes. I just can't see a 4'. What do most of you guys use with your BX models?
I bought a BX2350 in June 2008. I should have done this years before, even if it had been an older series BX. I cannot say enough about how much work this unit will do.
Look at what you want to do 80-to-90% of the time and get something for that. I am more than satisfied with my 50-series unit. If you are shopping used, drive it. Back up in high range and then let off the HST and see if the stop is too abrupt. If not, that unit could be a keeper. A few people have had problems with too-quick stopping in high range (not a problem in low range).
Good luck with whatever choice you make.
And, LB, glad to see you're up and running. Would that you could last as long as those three BXs of yours. Nice to see your contributions. Just wishing you well.
