IH crawler gas motor fuel pump

Curious…1950 International Crawler with c-248 motor (similar to Farmall M)…can an electric fuel pump replace the mechanical Model B?

I don't know. What type of fuel system does it have?

If it is a float type carb, then yes, you can purchase a electric fuel pump that has a low pressure output. No more than 3 lbs.

Was it originally a gravity feed carb or did it have a mechanical fuel pump? Either way electric should work but like Richard states must be low pressure especially if was gravity feed.

As of now it’s still original—tank behind operator and tapped on bottom, line runs from there under floor, out firewall and into a mechanical fuel pump and sediment bowl, then up a few inches into the float carb. Nothing bad yet so I’ll keep using but I have a feeling it may crap out soon. Hard to find, and if found, EXPENSIVE.
