Looking at using a IH706 to pull a 13' John Deer 110 Disk. Any thoughts on this? I think that this may be pushing the limits.

I pulled a John Deere 12 ft. AW disc for years with a 3020 JD (65 hp) with no problem at all. Ken Sweet

We used to pull a 10' with an old 60 JD and a 706 is way more tractor than that. It should pull that no problem.

I think the 706 is 70 hp at the drawbar ... depending on soil you should be good. You can always lift it out of the ground a little with the Hyd's if need be.

I pull 10' with 55 hp ... sometimes in light ground when the disc is going in past the center of the blades I have to bring it up some.

My gasser 706 has 65 engine HP. I believe the diesel has a couple more ponies. With the TA for the tough pulling spots you should be fine.

I use to pull a 12' international disc with my Ford 7710-II which is 86hp from the factory. It was actually turned up and was putting out 120hp. I farm heavier ground then most so it pulls harder then it should depending on ground conditions. If the ground was too wet you will struggle but if its not a power issue, its a traction issue. When the ground conditions are perfect I can pull that disc with my TN65. A 706 should have no trouble.

the JD 110 is a lighter disc and the 706 should be able to pull it!
