Not same motors at all. 2500 is a zenoah clone.Do you know if the G2500 and the G2511 have the same motor, looking to upgrade to the NGK CMR7H plug that some folks are running.
If you go back one page, you will see Hockfire saws has been posting in this thread.I have the JohnCutter and the V-Modest versions, both bought this summer from Hockfire Saws in Ohio, they can be found on Facebook and he ships to you with NGK plugs, he tunes them, and he can toss in extra chains for a fair price. I will say that I like the JohnCutter better, the V-Modest runs just as well, but I have an issue with the debris shield from the top, under the handle rattles off in seconds. It just does not fit correctly. The JohnCutter is tight and right.
Yes I was asking for the NGK cross reference plug that will work in the G2500 saw. The plug that it was shipped with is a CDK plug and the number is L7TC.@Hds2561 If asking about G2500. Double check me and pull your plug and see what afm plug they show too.
Straight from Zenoah 2500 IPL. I will link their partslist here for ya too.
RCJ7Y and several ngk plugs that will cross reference to that.
Thank you for your response, I appreciate the information. I think I am going to keep it, the extra 1 pound in weight is a small compromise for a better air filter design and translucent fuel and chain oil tanks. Not sure what year the saw in your photos is, but they have changed a few things on their latest saw. The fuel tank assembly has a different shape and the break assembly cover is now a 2 piece design. View attachment 4182943View attachment 4182944View attachment 4182945View attachment 4182946
I went with the Champion plug, its easy to find in most hardware stores around me. The G2500 saw ran great out of the box, just some slight carb tweaks and it ran perfect for the first tank full of gas. I need to turn down the bar oiler, I noticed it was slinging an excessive amount of oil and it was dripping on my boots. Thanks for all your help and also for the Zenoah motor PDF.OEM RCJ7Y so I would do BPMR7A.
Heck I put a champion in my clone VM 2511 over ngk. Just been having bad luck with them.
Wish I could find Denso to fit my smaller plug saws ope.
German made Bosch was best plug ever for ope imo. But long gone are German made.

It's just a 5/32 file. Nothing special to use, same as 3/8LP file.Just had the little ripper out today. That Egan pipe is loud, I love it.
Need to sharpen the chain a bit, what is the best option for the .325 Nano setup?
Looking at the Oregon file set, seems the best option

You prob already have on hand if you owned 3/8LP saws before.

You do what you want. If you believe those folks be my guest.I've read contradictory info. Saying trh 3/8LP uses a 4mm and the .325 uses a 4.8mm file
