Do you know if the G2500 and the G2511 have the same motor, looking to upgrade to the NGK CMR7H plug that some folks are running.

Well, I've used this little top handle clown saw a bit since it arrived, and the only real fault I find is that the tank fill cap retainers bind inside the tanks and make refitting the caps a royal PIA.

So, I cut them off.

I'll let you know when having a loose cap cuts into the serenity of my day. ;-)

Not same motors at all. 2500 is a zenoah clone.

Let me check what plug I had in mine before traded it off.

You are asking about G2500 right?

@Hds2561 If asking about G2500. Double check me and pull your plug and see what afm plug they show too.

Straight from Zenoah 2500 IPL. I will link their partslist here for ya too.

RCJ7Y and several ngk plugs that will cross reference to that.

Sounds like he cut the plastic retainer that goes inside the tanks off the caps.

I never had a issue with that since 2023 using first one now with oem or afm caps.

Wow, I've never had an issue with mine binding but I can see that they might. My stihl all use a string that is very flexible.

I have the JohnCutter and the V-Modest versions, both bought this summer from Hockfire Saws in Ohio, they can be found on Facebook and he ships to you with NGK plugs, he tunes them, and he can toss in extra chains for a fair price. I will say that I like the JohnCutter better, the V-Modest runs just as well, but I have an issue with the debris shield from the top, under the handle rattles off in seconds. It just does not fit correctly. The JohnCutter is tight and right.
