Just so you know. Early 325 way way back by Oregon used a 5/32 file too. Was oregon LG33 full chisel.
I started using a 3/16 file for the newer bigger cutter 325 uses today.
Adding that hook for softwoods it did cut faster.
I even tried it on a firewood cutter. He told me I dont know what you did to it but keep doing it.
But that LG33 cutter is bigger then the little NANO cutter.
I used to do chain build offs on my old website years back. So I got to try alot of different things like that. Even square filed 3/8LP and 325 in full chisel
Some stock 325 chains from back then. All used 3/16 except for LG325 stock 5/32

This little bar clamp on one? https://www.granberg.com/product/g1012xt-precision-grinder-12v/I ended up buying the Granberg Precision Grinder this week for all of my saws.
How long is the set-up time on that puppy?Well, I think the Granberg is more than suitable. One chain was run into a barbed wire fence. Cuts like butter now

I mostl;y sharpen with a Stihl sharpener on the bed of my Ram in the woods lol
Can it be used in the field?Maybe 1 minute.
Can it be used in the field?

I like the 2 in 1 style sharpeners for field sharpening, but get better results with an Oregon electric bench grinder. It's probably more a reflection of my lack of chain sharpening skills with a file than anything else.

My hand filing is quite good, even if I must say so myself! ;-)My hand filing is embarrassing.
That's similar to what I used to do - I was doing a fair amount of CSM on hardwood years ago. Sharp chain was a priority. I tried a Granberg, a couple of variations of "file in a guide", local sharpeners. and even bought a Northern Tool Bench mount sharpener.I hand sharpen with the Pferd sharpener about 5 times, and then take the chain into the shop.
