Should see the file I use on my mini micro 1/4" fruit tree chain.

Again even smaller file.

Just so you know. Early 325 way way back by Oregon used a 5/32 file too. Was oregon LG33 full chisel.
I started using a 3/16 file for the newer bigger cutter 325 uses today.

Adding that hook for softwoods it did cut faster.
I even tried it on a firewood cutter. He told me I dont know what you did to it but keep doing it.

But that LG33 cutter is bigger then the little NANO cutter.

I used to do chain build offs on my old website years back. So I got to try alot of different things like that. Even square filed 3/8LP and 325 in full chisel

Some stock 325 chains from back then. All used 3/16 except for LG325 stock 5/32

This little bar clamp on one? https://www.granberg.com/product/g1012xt-precision-grinder-12v/

I tried one many years ago. Didnt like the sharpening deals they use.
Never as good as my hand filed ones.

Went back to hand filing for best and these type of grinders for bulk chains.
Customers chains is what made me get the round grinder in back stihl usd.

Square one was because I hand squared filed for fun. The grinder made that so much easier.
I later sold the silvey square one to a friend.

Nope I got the Dremel style one, after watching numerous tests of different sharpeners. Project Farm did a great test. I'm sure it will be sufficient.

One test did test the file style Granberg to the dremel style, and there was basically no difference. With the Dremel being slightly better.

In any case, it will be better than my hand filing skills and I can adjust the rakers easily with the Granberg

I like the 2 in 1 style sharpeners for field sharpening, but get better results with an Oregon electric bench grinder. It's probably more a reflection of my lack of chain sharpening skills with a file than anything else.

My filing skills are much less effective than the Granberg 🤣

My hand filing is embarrassing.
My hand filing is quite good, even if I must say so myself! ;-)

But I enjoy the speed of those hand held multiple file tools (mine is a Stihl)

I hand sharpen with the Pferd sharpener about 5 times, and then take the chain into the shop.

That's similar to what I used to do - I was doing a fair amount of CSM on hardwood years ago. Sharp chain was a priority. I tried a Granberg, a couple of variations of "file in a guide", local sharpeners. and even bought a Northern Tool Bench mount sharpener.
The local sharpeners were not good, the "file in a guide" were so-so, the Bench mount was great, but bench mount. Finally settled on a routine of do about 10 foot of tree 3 times, touch the chain up freehand. Do that maybe 3 times, slap on the Granberg get the angles a little better, do that 3 times (9 hand files, 3 Granbergs), use the Bench mount.
