Yanmar 2220D
I have a Yanmar 2220D with a Koyker 155 fel. The bucket takes forever to tilt back. It tilts forward and goes up and down like it is suppose to. I have replaced the control valve and changed the hydraulic oil and cleaned the strainer. Any suggestions?

Are the loader hydraulics attached by quick connects?

Sounds like one or both piston seals may have failed. Does it improve with higher engine speed? Is it worse with a load in the bkt? If one or both seals are bypassing, you may be able to hear it if you stand close, or feel the flow with your hand.

If you can check the temp on each cyl above and below the piston. Should tell you real quick after it has ran long enough to get good and warm.

Actually the most temperature rise will be right at the piston. This is a great mess free troubleshooting method. As little as 5 degrees of temp rise as compared to the rest of the barrel has been 100% successful for me over many years.
