Switching hydraulic valve functions on my telehandler

This thread is a continuation of this previous thread about switching the tilt and telescope functions on my telehandler. Here is the portion of the hydraulic diagram showing the valve bank labeled D, and the electro controllers labeled BP. The two valves of interest are the tilt valve labeled EI and the telescope valve labeled ET:

Here is the wiring to each of the valve controllers, the grey wire is from the ECU and is listed as sending 0-12v. The blue wire is ground:



What I'm thinking in the above diagram is swapping connectors X395 and X391 with connectors X393 and X397. I have more detailed diagrams of the internals of the valves if that helps.

Do all of the pilot valves have same part number in the parts breakdown? If yes then should work to swap those connections.

If the PB pilot block is remote like schematic shows could also potentially swap the pilot lines but this would be messier than swapping wires.

I'm not sure I understand enough to know all the right names for things, and it doesn't help that they use five different names for the same thing and the manual is in five different languages. But here is the parts manual page that shows what they call the electro controller and the valve bank.



Item 1 is the thing they have been calling the electro controller, now they call it the hydraulic block. Item 2 is the solenoid, there are 8 of them in the electro controller, and they all have the same part#. The valve bank is in the lower left corner of the page, it doesn't have an item number because it is called out in detail in a separate parts page, and each of the valves in that bank have a separate part#.
So my Fred Flinstone level understanding of how this works is that each of the 8 wires from the ECU goes to each of these solenoids, applies a voltage from 0-12v, and that controls the pilot flow to the four valves in the valve bank. Is that correct?

Item 2 does appear to be the pilot valves and if they are all the same part number they should then have the same voltage- milliamp command signal and should provide similar pressure output based on command signal.

Long way of saying I believe you can swap the wires and they should work. If picture is accurate they should have plugin style connection on each valve so may be able to simply swap the plugs vs trying to find pin out and swap wires at some connection point.

Thanks, I'll have to pull some covers and look at that controller. I'm hoping that harness has enough slack to let me swap those connectors.

Is the pilot valve manifold buried so that you can maybe see it or touch it, but not both at the same time.

I can almost picture you beating on the covers of that machine yelling Wilma!!

I'm not sure how buried it is, I can't see it by peeking into all the visible places. The manual has a diagram that shows its location near the ECU, which is fairly easy to access. I can see the valve bank so I might be able to follow the lines back to the pilot.

I have a wireless endoscope that attaches to my phone, the thing works great and can snake into almost any area. So probably after the weather turns lousy and my outdoor honey do list is expired, I'll pull the machine into the shop and spend some time on it.
