Everybody loves workshop pics so here are a couple of mine.Your design and fabrication turned out very well, I think.
Do you know the hydraulic HP (flow x pressure) available on your machine? It might give you some insights on the log splitter cycle.
(I love your shop; lots of items to be out to use and seemingly well organized.)
All the best,
Peter
When I built it 40 odd years ago I never dreamt I'd need to get a 10ft tall tractor or modern pickup inside, so it's a nuisance that I can't. I bet if I'd built it to take a 10ft tractor I'd probably now have a 12ft one anyway
I did build an extension to it last year & moved the milling machine & welders into that which now means I can actually get a car or small tractor into the garage without having to move stuff around.
The metric lathe,( which I don't use much - I cant "think" in metric. e.g. .05 mm means nothing to me whereas I can "see" 2 thou.
Still waiting on 3/8BSP QD's which proably won't be here until Tuesday now since Monday is a Bank Holiday here.
250mm rain is a typical winter monthly total here with about 100mm per month through the summer, though last year was the wettest I can remember we had to send the tack (summer grazing) cows back after 2 weeks & could cut no hay at all
