It looks like I missed out on the free loader program with Kioti and Bobcat. The only programs they have on in my region right now is $500 off loader and $1500 off the tractor, which is a far cry from the free front end loader (worth about $5500). I don't really need the tractor until next summer. I am just wondering what the chances are that the free FEL program comes back next spring? I know with cars, best rebates always start in November (i.e., GMC's $10k rebate on trucks always starts in November). But I suspect tractors are on a different cycle. Any insights? I am worried that with the shortage this year, they may tighten up on rebates next year.

The tractor market is so nuts right now I wouldn't even venture a guess at what the offers will be over the next twelve months.

Personally I'd bet on the come. Things are crazy, but I am confident the dealers all had their floorplan orders in that are delayed in being delivered. That is on top of the orders people are coming in to place deposits on. At some point the factories will catch up and these floorplan orders are going to be delivered well after the prime selling season is over. The factory will be pushing for them to sell this inventory through so they can get their 2022 floorplan / stocking orders in house. Dealers won't order if their lot is full so the factories will likely have some good incentives to help them.

I am sure glad that I ordered in March 2021 just missed
the mark up! According to the prices now the backhoe
only cost me $1k so you know the prices for tractors
and equipment is REALLY CRAZY!

I love the rising prices!
My 251 hour, one owner, Kubota L48TLB is apparently worth $10K+ (30+%) more than I paid for it exactly 24 months ago.
At 80, it is my final tractor!
Bring it on!

The free loader has been a thing I think since they launched them. I got mine in September and it has been an offer ever since. If they don’t extend it past the May 31 expiration I’m willing to bet it won’t come back for a while.

I would not look for any freebee's or discounts the
way prices are rising.

Your discount isn’t too far off the mark, though I can’t speak for mark up. I financed my Bobcat with the 0%/84 and at my dealer that only added $3000 CAD to the quote. There may have been a cap on the “free loader” from the factory, or because their price (in my area) was already so much better than Kioti they were quoting with the free loader at a price to make a little more profit.

Nice joke. Crossed my mind as I typed it. :)

I was told the free loader program has been extended. Local dealer has a ct2035hst in stock. Will do $24,900 cad ($21,000 usd) plus tax. Because I am moving across country (3000 miles) he can wave the provincial tax too. I'll pull the trigger on Monday, but I just want to see if a dealer where I am moving to can match, and save me the hassle of renting a u haul trailer when I move. I doubt the east coast (where I am moving will be able to match, but I'll wait and see, plus tax would be way more.... Unless they let me use my current address and avoid tax there too). Kioti was $2k higher and no free FEL, though they did have a $1500 rebate.

The 'free loader' deal is usually in the spring for Kioti. I took advantage of that in June, but that was on the dealers' floor stock. He had told me that the new stock coming in would be higher priced and no guarantees on the free loader deal. This was in 2012.

Why??

There's nothing tractor dealers love more than taking your down-payment money on something that isn't costing them a dime.... No Floor Plan interest, no insurance, no assembly, no -- Nothing. Just a wink and a promise. And your money sitting in their bank account. They LOVE taking orders. And the way to generate orders is to have sales incentives.

As to the Manufacturers, there's nothing they love more than having a predictable future. If they've got 10,000 tractors on order from dealers, they can gear up and run tht assembly line like crazy. Economies of Scale. It's a real thing.

If the OEM can run two shifts instead of one or even three shifts instead of two or if they can get a bunch of overtime workers showing up, they're making a killing.

The OEMs and the Dealers that are on-the-ball can, and will, seperate themselves from the rest of the pack this year. The rest will fall by the wayside. Maybe permanently. Probably permanently.

In fact, I would look for the ones offering sales incentives. They have a much brighter futures, IMO, than the ones sitting on their hands
