I can think of one situation where that would have saved me from needing the neighbor to pull my ZD22 out. The rear overhang got be hung up in the barrow ditch. Very cool, and I imagine very expensive.

It certainly looks cool. I can't imagine it being able to mow a nice yard without tearing it up. I'd also guess it's expensive. I'll have to keep using my 4x4 B7200 to mow sketchy areas.

I switched from standard turf tires to AT101's. Made a world of difference.

But I cannot imagine mowing the yard if it were wet and muddy enough to actually need tracks.

That one scene where he is mowing along the edge of the pond and one track is in the water got me to thinking. I get stuck doing this ALL THE TIME!!!!! I'm not going to buy another mower, but trying to mow close to the edge of the water is a real issue for me.

I used to get stuck along the edge of the ditch all the time as well. Once that inside wheel starts spinning its useless and only the outside wheel has any traction. So you are faced with a grim decision.....forward into the ditch, or backwards into the ditch, as that outer wheel will spin you right into it one way or the other.

Going to AT101 tires solved that issue 99%.

Then when I built the shop, I ran tile down that ditch and it dries up in no time. So I no longer have any areas that lay wet when mowing.

Why are all the mowing shots of this thing in the wilderness? Who mows that stuff? If your trying to reclaim land, wouldn't you reclaim it first with a tractor then plant decent grass or pasture on it, then mow?

I noticed that they didn't show it going down much of a slope. My zero turn has no problems going up, but going down can get interesting at times even with AT 101 tires.

Interesting, but limited application. Way too small a cut for any serious off lawn work in my opinion. And not heavy enough for brush.

I wonder how much track vibration the driver feels? Some tracked equipment relays vibs through its chassis and it gets quite tiresome.

I think it has suspension. It is available with 72" deck. They are saying about 5 acres per hour. Probably closer to 3, but that is pretty good.

Not much demand for something like that. I am very surprised that any company would spend the development time to make such a contraption for the 2 that they might sell in the entire North American continent. There must be other attachments to go on it other than a mower deck for it to be used for anything practical, maybe a snowblower for you guys in the frozen North.

That drive arrangement wouldn't be long for this world working in rough conditions. I came across a large NH snowmobile trail groomer with the same arrangement but larger. It sat in the middle of the road with a wheel broken off.
