Several years ago I bought an 8N to help me clear the land where my home is presently located. That little tractor saved me so many hours of labor by leveling, hauling, cutting, etc. When I got my property ready for the home I decided to sell the tractor and buy a nice mower to keep up the grounds. Was that ever a mistake! I can't tell you the number of times that I wished I had kept that 8N. I never had any maintenance problems, I never had to resharpen blades, I never had to constantly add air to the tires, I never had to buy belts. I now have another tractor and don't see how I survived so long without one. I guess my point is this: living in a rural setting or living on a large piece of property (anything over an acre is large to me) one can't go wrong by owning some kind of tractor. My tractor has cut my working time by 1/4 and has practically eliminated my maintenance expense. Whatever you decide, good luck!
