Just picked up a Harbor Freight quick hitch. I put it on my tractor (Kubota L3400) and I'm having an issue with the top connector. Either the hook on the QH needs to go up, or I need to rework the mower hitch. Am I missing something? Pic attached.

Take the top of the hitch apart and reassemble it with the short link behind the A-frame. But it looks like your bottom pins are too far from the top pin. Standard is 18 inches apart and for quick-hitch, 15 inches.

You may need an adapter. Some ideas:

BCP, The vertical distance from the CL of the bottom pins to the CL of the top pin is ~ 23". The info you provided is very helpful, thanks!

A closer look at your photo makes me think it is a finish mower, not a rotary cutter, and it is meant to float over the ground semi-independent of the hitch. If so, I would leave the floating top link piece where it is, and just lengthen it until it reaches the top link pin on the QH. A welded or bolted extension, or a longer replacement would work.

Yes, it is a finish mower. I'll give your suggestion a try, thanks!
