Need some help guys. I was plowing our driveway when my 4210 shut down/died. The battery was weak with the cold snap, and I had to jump it a couple of times after I shut it off. But it would run fine each time. When it died, I had been plowing for around 30 min. When I turn the key, I get no lights on the dash, and the ECM light comes on solid for about 2-3 sec then goes off. Only thing I have thru the key switch is the glowplug, it seems to work. Head light, flashers, work ok. I had the truck jumpered to it, and still nothing thru the key switch. I have cab work lights, small elect heater, fasse valve, thru a seperate fuse panel that is hot via switched lead. I dont have any power here, because it seems the switch may bad. Couldnt be the switch fuse cause I can get the glow plug light to come on, right?

I know I need a new batt, and will get a new one tomorrow. I havent pulled any fuses yet, but will tomorrow. Might also be a bad connection at the fuse panel.

I'll keep searching here, any ideas would be welcomed.

Is the PTO on? That will keep it from starting. Sometimes it is easy to miss.

No, PTO is not ok, tried that, thanks. I get no power thru the switch, the console does not light up when I turn the switch on.

My 4310 did something similar. A new battery took care of it. Good luck.

I replaced the battery, same problem. Turns out a 20A fuse had blown, I believe it was F5 - Switched Circuits. I think the reason why this fuse blew is because I have an aux fuse panel for my cab work lights, heater, and fasse valve. This aux fuse panel is on a switch lead with the key. I was probably drawing too much when I was plowing last night. So I replaced the F5 fuse with a 25A, I'll see how this works.

While I was at it, I got a trickle charger, and mounted it under the hood. TSC had it for 36.39 (part no 04-76942, it isnt on their web site, it's on pg 230 of their new catalog). I'll try and post a pic tonight.

Thanks for the suggestions. :)
