Day two of quitting smoking to afford new tractor....Day 30 means go buy it...been reading this site for almost two yrs now, looking to get a sub-compact/compact machine primarily for drainage trenching and terracing my hilly rocky piece o' CT...been looking at every under 30hp out there that can take a hoe...agonising over choices (JD, Kubota, MF, Kioti/Bobcat, TYM, LS) pretty sold on HST, but not completely. Dealer considerations rank high, but ultimately features and price will rule the day. Sub-frame vs. 3pt hitch hoes: leaning towards sub-frame, but no experience with either so we'll see.

bx25, certainly in the hunt...a little concerned with weight of that model with regard to traction on my hills and additionally how beefy its BH is for breaking out and around stumps and big buried rock/ledge, whats been your impression with that?

quitting sux...good 4 u, almost a year( I MEAN 2), keep it up...I make it that long I hope to have 100+ hours on a new tractor by then

Good luck with the tractor/backhoe hunt and the smoking. Daughter was able to quit after smoking for many years, with the help of Chantix. I never had that bad habit, so I dont know what you must be going thru. Again best of luck in both.:thumbsup:
